This Privacy Policy (the “Policy”) describes how your personal information is collected, used, and shared when you visit or make a purchase from www.hidocu.com (the “Site”). Please read this Policy carefully to understand how we use personal information. Additionally when you make a purchase or attempt to make a purchase through the Site, we collect certain information from you, including your name, payment information (including credit card numbers), email address, phone number or other contact details. We refer to this information as “Purchase Information.”

When we talk about “Personal Information” in this Privacy Policy, we are talking both about Device Information and Purchase Information.

Once you register, by filling out the registration details on the Site, your username, country, and additional information regarding your activity is made public and is visible to all Users of the Site. This information includes photos you upload, your digital goods for sale, ratings, and additional information you may choose to add to your profile. We also offer you the opportunity to participate and post content publicly in forums, blogs and on other similar features. Please be aware that certain information, such as your user name and profile, together with the content uploaded by you, will be publicly displayed when you use such features.

You may also have the option of sharing additional information with HiDocu through an Integrated Service, as controlled through your settings on that Integrated Service. If you choose to provide such information, during registration or otherwise, HiDocu will treat the information as Personal Information and will use it in the ways described in this Privacy Policy.

We use the Purchase Information that we collect generally to fulfill any purchases through the Site (including processing your payment information, providing you with invoices and/or order confirmations).  Additionally, we use this Purchase Information to:

• when in line with the preferences you have shared with us, provide you with information or advertising relating to our products or services.

We use the Device Information that we collect to help us screen for potential risk and fraud (in particular, your IP address), and more generally to improve and optimize our Site (for example, by generating analytics about how our customers browse and interact with the Site, and to assess the success of our marketing and advertising campaigns).

These include, among other, hosting services, billing and payment vendors, CRM systems, forum hosting, community management services, data and cybersecurity services, web analytics and performance tools, translation tools, IT SaaS services, session recording, communication systems, mailing systems, data optimization and marketing services, data enrichment services, legal and financial advisors or technical consultants). Consistent with applicable legal requirements, we take commercially reasonable steps to require third parties to adequately safeguard your personal information and only process it in accordance with our instructions; 
• sharing Personal Information to help facilitate interactions between Users. For example, if you are a Buyer we may share certain limited information about you (such as the fact it is your first purchase or sale on HiDocu) with the Seller to ensure the liability of the digital good you receive from the Seller; such sharing of information is limited in scope, will not include personal identifying information (PII) which is not already available to the Seller via the marketplace, and is only intended to improve the services provided by the Seller and your user experience;

• sharing your Personal Information to comply with applicable laws and regulations, to respond to a subpoena, search warrant or other lawful request for information we receive, or to otherwise protect our rights; and
• sharing Personal Information with payment processors, fraud detection agencies and similar third parties for the purpose of facilitating payments done via the Site and securing the Site and protecting it against fraud, unauthorized transactions (such as money laundering), claims or other liabilities.

Please note, your profile information and additional information regarding your activity (including reviews, uploaded digital goods, posts on our forum, etc.) is made public and is visible to all Users of the Site. When you publish your information and/or share your data with other HiDocu Users, you do so at your own risk.

Additionally, if you are a European resident we note that we are processing your information in order to fulfill contracts we might have with you (for example if you make an purchase through the Site), or otherwise to pursue our legitimate business interests listed above. 

Additionally, please note that your information will be transferred outside of Europe, including to Canada and the United States.
